Hello Geeks! I'm a life-long aviation geek, have been in the business, both commercial and now corporate, for over 23 years now. I found your site based on word of mouth from my friend Phil Derner Jr. He was on your "Jetpardy" podcast as well as Episode 86, I've been listening since, and kicking myself that I hadn't found you sooner.
Anyways, I just wanted to touch on your story about the geese "eradication" program in NYC. You guys mentioned that the dumps are whats keeping these "skyrats" around, and I couldn't agree more. What really makes me scratch my head is that just north/east of LaGuardia Airport is a sanitation plant.
Here is a picture of it: http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b233/lijk604/NYCSanitationBldgLGA_043009.jpg

This was taken from the Grand Central Parkway Overpass, which is adjacent to the "numbers" for Runway 31 at LGA.

[Listener Seb has been taking more great photos....]

Just to give you an update on how the RIAT 2010 (Royal International Air Tatoo) went , the star of the show by a mile was the USAF F-22 Raptor demo team, it was the first time I had seen it display and all I can say is Wow! , the other great display was from the Airbus A400M which looks like a very capable heavy lift transport. Also of interest was the Sukhoi Superjet 100 which made a single pass of the runway on the way to Farnborough. I have posted all of my photos onto Flicker - here is the link http://www.flickr.com/photos/spen258/
