5th Annual Texas STOL Roundup

The lower 48's premier STOL event and world’s largest gathering of backcountry aircraft. Pilots, their families, friends and visitors are all welcome. Everyone is invited. Camp on the grass, hotels in town, or fly in daily. Friday activities include a STOL & Backcountry Seminar and competition practice. Saturday is the ‘Traditional STOL®’ and ‘Obstacle STOL®’ competitions with a live band and hangar dance at night. Sunday is the Flour Bombing competition.

The 2018-19 Winter Lecture Series begins wednesday October 10th (7pm) and is repeated on saturday October 13th (12 noon) with John Fredrickson's presentation on the evolution of aircraft manufacturing with special attention given to the North American experience. The series is entitled "The Grand Designs of the Golden Age of Aviation, 1927-57". Subsequent presentation will cover advances in aerodynamics, power plants, radios and navigation and structures.
