Episode 62 – The Youngest Airplane Geek

Evan from www.evanflys.com

Evan, from the Evan Flys website, joins Dan, Rob, and Max to prove that airplane geeks come in all sizes and ages. Evan has a passion for aviation, especially warbird aviators and airshow performers. In fact, he’s interviewed a number of them, he can be heard on Flight Line Internet Radio, and he writes a monthly column for Atlantic Flyer magazine.

    Dear airplane geeks,

i love listening to your hour long podcasts. All month long, I have heard your all your comments on the southwest, republic bid for frontier. if its possible, i would like to leave a phone comment on your show. i know that republic won the bid but i just want to know how an airline who paid less for the bid could get the bid. So Thank you for your time. I hope for people to hear my comment on a bid.

    Thank You

Hi Joaquin – Southwest had more money, and they could’ve thrown more cash down if they wanted for sure. The big issue was labor – the F9 and WN pilots couldn’t come to an agreement.
