Mike Collins flew with pilot and aviation businessman Mike Laver around the world in a Mitsubishi MU–2 to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of the MU–2’s first flight. The 26,568 nautical mile journey required 98 hours of flight time.

Mike Collins is a long time professional photojournalist, currently the technical editor for AOPA Pilot and Flight Training. He’s also director of business operations for AOPA’s publishing activities, director of the International Society for Aviation Photography, and an instrument-rated private pilot.
